        Most people do not even know that it is possible to have cystitis without an infection being present. Surprisingly, more then twenty percent of women that suffer from urinary problems are diagnosed with cystitis without infection. In their case, the bacteria that causes cystitis without infection has entered their body in a rather unusual way.

        For example, if a person has unprotected sexual contact and their partner is a carrier of such a pathogen agent, then the transmission is almost certain. Another example would be the one of a person with poor toilet hygiene. There is an actual reason why everyone says that you should wash your hands before you use the restroom, as well as after. Bacteria are sneaky and clever, using any opportunity they might have to invade the human body. Thus, you have to try and eliminate them and avoid cystitis without infection.

       People with a permanent catheter are predisposed to a whole range of urinary tract problems, but cystitis without infection is one of the most common. The cause of such a disease is simple: the catheter is, basically, an empty tube that connects the bladder to the exterior of the body. Unfortunately, this connection works both ways, allowing the urine to flow freely, but also letting in bacteria. Once the bacteria hit the system, the result is quite obviously cystitis without infection.
