        If there is one moment when a patient must panic after he or she has been diagnosed with cystitis, it must be when one develops cystitis with bleeding. Under no circumstances is it normal for a person to be urinating blood. Therefore, the first reaction to cystitis with bleeding must be going to emergency room. Unfortunately, the causes behind cystitis with bleeding are rather scary.

       Firstly, if the blood that the patient sees in the urine is perfectly red and clean and if the urine smells only of blood and nothing else, the reason behind the sudden cystitis with bleeding crisis is nothing that cannot be fixed. More precisely, in this case, the cause is a tear of the membrane that surrounds the urinary tract. If the break is located somewhere high on the urinary system, it might take a while to be found and repaired. However, if it has been found on the lower urinary tract, the patching work will have an almost instant effect and the bleeding should stop.

        The second variant is the one to be truly feared: cancer. When a tumor is formed, it usually appears on the most blood - filled areas of the body. In this case, the tumor attaches itself to a major artery or vein, breaks through its walls and generates cystitis with bleeding. If the tumor is discovered early in its evolution, there is a very good chance of killing it with the right kind of treatment.
